Ms. Jessica Luong has lived in Charlotte for about two years, but she has lived in North Carolina her entire life. Ms. Luong's parents came from Vietnam, and their parents from southern China. Her sister is in Optometry school, and they share custody of a very short, very bad dachshund. Jessica's job as an Assistant Public Defender is never dull; it’s like "Raising the Bar," but less glamorous and without Zack Morris.
What made you join and attracted you to NAAAP Charlotte?
I joined NAAAP because I enjoyed meeting so many interesting people at Vivace. I’m looking forward to more events in the future!
How do you believe NAAAP Charlotte could benefit you professionally and/or personally?
It’s a great way to get to know other professionals I wouldn’t usually see in the courthouse. This also seems like a great way to learn about things of interest to Asian American professionals around the Charlotte Metro area.
Tell us one unique thing about you.
I attended Carolina Law, but I’m a diehard Cameron Crazy. I’ve slept in a snow-covered tent for tickets, and this year, I drove almost overnight to Indianapolis to see Duke’s championship victory. Let’s go, Blue Devils!
